We are looking for a Superintendent Production Engineering. This is a role to be the link between the technical teams and operations team to ensure safe and successful production execution, mentoring national senior production engineers. Working 6 Weeks on/ 3 Weeks off FIFO (during Covid Pandemic) or 5 days on, 2 days off residential roster and reporting to the Manager Production, you will be:

  • Set up systems and processes for the UG Production activities
  • Coordinating of RA, SWPs, training packages to set up production team for success. Defining execution methodology for all production related activities
  • Procurement of consumables / equipment to commence production
  • Support setting up of production MOS (process, templates, meetings and reporting) to support operational readiness
  • Signatory for all production designs and responsible for ensuring that the design is both technically correct as well as achievable operationally.
  • Accountable for production planning input into the Quarterly, monthly and weekly space
  • Support with set up of templates and coversheets for production activities
  • Liaising with OT drill and blast superintendent on any drill and blast design modifications required
  • Auditing production related activities and make recommendations for improvements
  • Expand and update knowledge and skills through continuing professional development (self-directed or employer sponsored) that is consistent with the requirements of the Mongolian and international professional development guidelines.
  • Ensure rules and procedures in place regarding working hours, lunch, office closure and communications about security.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all employees and project stakeholders. What you’ll bring
  • Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities in Mining Engineering or relevant discipline
  • At least 10 years underground experience, or the significant practical experience and on the job training
  • Experience in leadership and shift supervision of mining activities
  • First class mine manager qualification or equivalent highly regarded
  • Experience in block cave/ sub level cave production activities highly regarded What we offer
