Minimum qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Public Policy, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in real estate site selection, evaluation, acquisition, and development for industrial-scale projects in Latin America.

  • Experience in building business relationships with the public and private sector.- Ability to speak and write in Spanish fluently. Preferred qualifications :

  • Experience with developing industrial-scale power transmission and distribution, water supply, and/or waste water projects in Latin America.

  • Ability to think outside the box and propose commercially and technically creative solutions that address the unique challenges and opportunities in Latin America.

  • Ability to comfortably work in ambiguous, collaborative, and fast-paced environments.

  • Ability to speak and write in Portuguese fluently.

About the job : Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future - everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead data center real-estate strategy, acquisitions, and portfolio management in Latin America. Understand the unique challenges and opportunities of the region and have the expertise and professional network.
  • Work with internal partners (design, engineering, construction, operations) to develop a real estate strategy that addresses the unique characteristics of Latin America.
  • Be the negotiator for the region, personally driving the real estate acquisitions and infrastructure development projects, while also guiding the work of junior negotiators.
  • Oversee the management of our Latam assets, including creating and executing on site-management plans, resolving escalations, ensuring timely delivery of site expansion projects, as well as managing asset data, metrics, and key performance indicators.
  • Manage strategic relationships with government officials, various authorities and utilities, landowners, and key suppliers.
