OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

ZeroFox seeks a strategic thinker to join our technology team in innovating new services to protect customers from a constantly evolving array of threats being launched from external digital channels such as the dark web, phishing campaigns, and social media. ZeroFox is the leader and innovator in digital risk protection services, and you’ll be working alongside the smartest engineers, product managers, data scientists, threat researchers, and security professionals in the business to disrupt and dismantle the cyber kill chain.

As a Services Product Manager, it will be your job to drive innovation in the services layer of the ZeroFox platform. You will work closely with a team of security analysts, operations specialists, technical support analysts, and managers to collect and analyze data, and then propose and implement new playbooks, processes, and technology to improve the efficiency and quality of ZeroFox capabilities as they are received by our customers.

Role and responsibilities :

  • Lead the entire company as the primary person responsible for product management in support of service offerings - you read that correctly - all service offerings company-wide!
  • Support Tech business unit operations teams backlogs such as AS+VA operations, Intelligence operations (~4 teams within), PDS operations (3 teams within), security team, etc
  • Maintain a vision for the services component of the ZeroFox platform based on your research of customers, competitors, and analysts.
  • Prioritize the service roadmap based on input from customers, Global Customer Operations stakeholders, Sales, and ZeroFox Executives.
  • Communicate the vision and roadmap with stakeholders, customers, and analysts.
  • Collaborate with existing and future partners and formulate integration strategies and solutions.
  • Drive execution in line with the company’s rapid growth in customers.

Required skills and competencies :

  • Strategic Thinking: You have a track record that demonstrates the ability to think strategically about solutions to high-value customer problems, and to create compelling artifacts that convey that vision to stakeholders in the company, customers, and to the market at large.
  • Data-Driven Approach: You must possess a high level of data literacy, building a strategic product plan that addresses all aspects of the product life cycle: initial requirements gathering, competitive positioning, design, development, packaging, pricing, launch, and continuous improvement.
  • Being the CEO of your portfolio: Product managers at ZeroFox are expected to own the success of their portfolio, building champions for your product both inside and outside of the company. The product manager is expected to be the domain expert, a valuable resource for both customers and ZeroFox staff.
  • Curiosity: You must possess an ongoing curiosity about topics relevant to your job and always ask questions such as Where is the market going? What do customers really need? What makes a good product? What makes a good requirement? Never stop learning.
  • Judgment: As a Product Manager at ZeroFox you will be responsible for critical decision-making impacting all areas of the company's strategy and direction, as such you will be expected to demonstrate excellent judgment when committing company resources.
  • Detail orientation: You need to keep track of individual feature requests and bug fixes, know the product inside and out, and have detailed knowledge of what stories on which sprints will fix a key bug reported by a critical customer. You are an expert at preventing critical details from falling through the cracks.
  • Communication: You must be able to speak and write well. Writing succinctly is essential for creating clear requirements for Engineering. You must also convince others and advocate for your point of view but be capable of gathering input from others. Listening is as important for communication as speaking. As an international company, you must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Leadership: When something needs to be done the Product Manager is often the catalyst to go and do it. You must work with others at multiple levels, including executives, to bring your vision to reality. You must inspire others with your understanding of customer needs and your vision for the marketplace.

Preferred skills and competencies :

  • Technical: Knowing one or a few programming languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, Java, etc.) and being comfortable with APIs and databases is critical for effectively working with engineers, as well as knowing how to bring a product vision to reality. You must have an avid interest in learning new technologies and readily understand new APIs and competitive products.
  • Domain experience in information security (network, endpoint, etc) is very helpful as you will more quickly understand our customer and his/her problem space.
